I know it has a lot of salt but is it ok to eat while restricting calories? Can it be part of a cutting diet or does the salt ruin it?

Salt ruins it bro, all that salt will make you retain water (which you should be drinking alot of during dieting)

Get a dehydrator and make your own.....

Get a london broil and either have them slice it extremely this or freeze it and cut your own....

Marinade it in whatever, I usually use fat free italian dressing.....

Let it marinate forever and even consider freezing it....

Put it in the dehydrater or you can even use the oven and leave the door open, byut I would not recommend that as it just makes the house warm....

Also, try bananas and apricots.

I love my dehydrater. Only thing that sucks a little is slicing the meat, so I would really recommend getting the butcher to do it.

Well, let's take a quick step back and understand what's going on here. Salt is a partial diuretic, meaning, it will draw water out of your system. The FDA has 'limits' for the average person in terms of salt intake, and for good reason. If you're a sedentary individual, then yes, limit your sodium intake. If you're someone who works out regularly, drinks more than one gallon of water a day (closer to two), then salt can aid you in the process. Intracellular water retention is anabolic, as it increases intake of nutrients that are essential for growth. Unless you have high BP, you're okay to salt your foods, within moderation.

Diets don't work, stop thinking they will.

Start eating to live, not living to eat

well im tryina bulk up, so i munch on beef jerky when i feel hungry rather than chips. I need it for my diet...dont know about your situation. Why not just munch on non-salted peanuts, rich in protein, low in calories.
